problems with MSN

Thu Dec 27, 2007, 1:02 PM
have any of you seen the cellphone commercial where two people are talking and they get disconnected at some random point in the conversation and the silence makes the conversation seem to take on a different meaning.

for the last few weeks i've been having nothing but trouble with MSN. 3/4 of of what i type returns with an error message saying that the message could not be delivered due to an error.
i'm not sure what the problem is, but the only solution seems to be to log out and log in every 5 minutes.

it gets old.

i'm still online.
you can still find me on yahoo/google/irc,,,,but until i figure out what is wrong with my MSN you won't find me there much. eventually i'm sure i'll get it fixed. maybe one of the newer version will like me more. who knows.

y'all take care.

a Phrost Christmas story.

a Phrost Christmas story.

According to the gospel of Jack, "a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for".

the other day i stopped by my older brothers place on my way home from work. my mom was down visiting and wanted me to swing by. we talked for a while and then before i left she gave me a bag with stuff to bring home. one of them was a gift wrapped box to me and my family. when i got home my wife kept going on and on about how we should go ahead and open it right away and not wait for Christmas like we did with all the other gifts. i did my best to hold my ground and kept saying no. eventually she quit pestering me so i assumed that it was over.

several days passed, we were going through our Christmas routine and on the morning of Christmas eve we opened the gifts from the kids. after they were all done, the box from my mother was still sitting under the tree. so they asked if we could open it then and handed me the box. i said sure, why not. i opened the box very slowly trying to build a little anticipation and sure enough everyone seemed to be on the edges of their seats with big smiles on their faces.

when i opened the box there was a smaller box addressed to me and my wife and several cards addressed to each of the kids. i handed the cards to the kids and proceeded to open the second box. there was a receipt and a note saying that she gave each of the kids a gift card. sure enough my oldest son held his up proudly and my younger son held his up as well.

my wife, shocked and confused, turned to my son and said" how did those get in there?",

What i didn't know.
At one point my wife gave up on me and took matters into her own hands. several days before, while i was in the other room she careful unwrapped the present and removed the gift cards.

What my wife didn't know.
After watching his mother remove the gift cards from the box, my son decided to do the honest thing. he went around and found as many of the cards as he could and one morning while everyone was still asleep, unwrapped the box yet again and put the cards back in.

My wife is in shock that someone was sneakier than her.
