Description
I've been asked how I did this: .
At the risk of ruining the magic here are the steps.
1. Single unprocessed frame from a set of 500 taken at a normal exposure.
2. Single unprocessed frame from a set of 500 taken at an over exposed setting.
3. 500 frames at a normal exposure value stacked to a single image.
4. 500 frames at an over exposed value stacked to a single image.
5. Overlay the two images in gimp.
6. Create false colors in Gimp using the Color Curves tool.
7. Final image

Would you mind posting a single image from the stack that was used to make this final image? (maybe with similar post processing) I'm curious how much extra detail stacking gets you on something so bright.
Thanks!
